In light of all the recent conversations regarding the need for new Respiratory Therapists and advancing our noble profession, I would like to share an update on the Respiratory Therapy programs being developed at Rowan University. As many of you are aware, we have developed and are seeking provisional accreditation for two BS in Respiratory Therapy programs. One, an Entry in to Professional Practice program to train new respiratory therapists, and two, a Degree Advancement program to allow current RRTs to complete a bachelor’s degree.
We have completed another milestone for our programs with a CoARC site visit last week. We received many positive comments from our evaluation team, and anticipate that our programs will be on the agenda of the March 3-4, 2023, meeting of the Commission for consideration of our application for provisional accreditation. Achievement of provisional accreditation will allow us to more forward with recruitment of our first cohort. Once we receive official word from CoARC, we will provide all details regarding the application, and admissions process plan for each program. Thanks for your patience and support. #MORERTS #BSRT #RTSTRONG
