Nominations are now being accepted for the NJSRC Awards for Exemplary Leadership and Achievements in the field of Respiratory Care, recognizing contributions and overall excellence in the Respiratory Care profession. While we all show our dedication to our profession, this is an excellent opportunity to recognize and celebrate the outstanding achievements of individuals within our Respiratory Care community. By taking a few moments to submit a nomination, you can play a crucial role in acknowledging their hard work and inspiring others within our profession. Recipients will be presented with their award during the Awards Ceremony at the upcoming 2024 NJSRC Shore Conference. We encourage you to submit nominations for deserving candidates in the following categories.
A. Gerald Shapiro Award
This award recognizes an individual who has demonstrated outstanding leadership, advocacy, and a lasting impact on the field of Respiratory Care nationwide. This prestigious award exemplifies the qualities that A. Gerald Shapiro embodied visionary leadership, innovative thinking, commitment to patient care, and a strong dedication to the respiratory care community. Whether they have played a pivotal role in shaping policy, pioneered new techniques or treatments, influenced legislative initiatives, or significantly contributed to the professional development of Respiratory Therapists, the NJSRC wants to recognize their remarkable achievements.
Practitioner of the Year
Recognizing a licensed Respiratory Therapist in the state of New Jersey who has exhibited exceptional skills, professionalism, and a commitment to continuous learning and growth, having a direct impact on the Respiratory profession. The recipient of this award must be a member of the AARC.
Student of the Year
One from each school for the year 2024. This student must have shown a strong character for each of the following categories. Leadership, innovative thinking, commitment to patient care, and a strong dedication to the respiratory care community.
Vendor of the Year Award
Recognizes the vital role that vendors play in providing essential products, services, and support to Respiratory Therapists and healthcare professionals. This exceptional individual consistently surpasses expectations in meeting the needs of Respiratory Care Practitioners, ensuring the delivery of the best care to their patients. They consistently exhibit a commitment to excellence by representing their employer with distinction, delivering top-notch products, offering exceptional customer service, and introducing innovative solutions.
