We are very pleased to have our BREATHE Act, H.R. 2508, introduced on May 2, 2019. This legislation is a 3-year pilot that allows respiratory therapists to furnish disease management services, such as self-management education and training, demonstration / evaluation of proper inhaler techniques, smoking cessation and remote patient monitoring to Medicare beneficiaries with Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD).
Virtual Lobby Campaign 2019 Comes to an End
200 Advocates sent over 900 messages to Congress. Two asks – cosponsor the BREATHE Act and direct the Medicare Administrator to monitor patient access to liquid oxygen for those whose lives depend on it.
