This prestigious award reflects the qualities Gerald Shapiro embodied: visionary leadership, innovative thinking, commitment to patient care, and a strong dedication to the respiratory care community.

Nominees may have played a pivotal role in shaping policy, pioneered new techniques or treatments, influenced legislative initiatives, or made significant contributions to the professional development of Respiratory Therapists.
