Barry Ransom - President Elect
Barry Ransom has been a registered respiratory therapist for 25 years. He graduated from the joint UMDNJ/Atlantic Cape Respiratory Therapy program with an associate degree. In 2010, Barry earned a BS degree in Allied Health from Widener University and a master’s degree in Respiratory Care Leadership from Northeastern University in 2015. He holds both the Neonatal Pediatric Specialist and the Adult Critical Care Specialist credentials. Barry has been a staff respiratory therapist at AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center for 25 years. Barry became a clinical instructor for the UMDNJ/Rutgers Respiratory Therapy program in 1998 and in 2007, he became a full-time faculty member where he taught mechanical ventilation pharmacology, pediatric and neonatal respiratory care and clinical practice 1 and 2. From 2013 to 2017, Barry was the Director of Clinical Education for the Rutgers program, when that program closed. Barry is an adjunct Assistant Professor of Health Science at Stockton University, an adjunct Professor of Health Science at Atlantic Cape Community College and a BSRT program development consultant for Rowan University. Barry has served on the Board of Directors of the New Jersey Society for Respiratory Care as the Southern Region Director from 2015-2017 and as a Director At Large from 2018-2020 and 2020-2022. He is an active member of both the Education and Leadership committees. In his free time, Barry enjoys cycling and spending time with and traveling his family.
Jill Guide RRT - Vice President
Jill graduated from Bergen Community College with her AAS in 1995 and is currently employed at Mountainside Medical Center. She has held the position of Public Relations and Communications Chair for the NJSRC for 10 years and is the recipient of the Philips Excellence award and NJSRC President's award. She has held both clinical and corporate positions including marketing with GE Healthcare. Jill is a Gold Member of the AARC as an active participant for both messaging on behalf of the AARC, State Society and conference attendance. Jill also participates in multiple respiratory platforms, including being a board member on one near to all our hearts (or lungs) COPD. She sees the future of RT in part as proven with our daily heroic contributions.

Nancy D’Ambrosio BS, RRT, RRT-NPS, NCTTS - Secretary
Nancy currently works at Overlook Hospital as COPD Educator/ Tobacco Treatment Counselor and Sub for Pulmonary Rehab Program. Nancy has a BS in Business from Baruch University and her BS in Respiratory from Thomas Edison University. She earned her AAS in Respiratory from Union County College. She has held various past positions on the board of the NJSRC including Secretary, President Elect, President, and Delegate to the House. She has volunteered at the Fanwood Rescue Squad and the Jack Frost Ski Patrol as an instructor in outdoor emergency care.
William H. Oliver, Jr. BS, RRT, RRT-NPS, CPFT - Treasurer
Goals for the NJSRC:

Heena Patel RRT - Director at Large
Heena is an Rt that graduated from Bergen Community College in 2013 with an A.A.S. She currently works at Holy Name Medical Center as a Lead Therapist performing PFT’s along with her other duties as an RT. She’s excited to volunteer on the NJSRC Board because she wants to be a part of the organization that supports her profession. She is working towards a Bachelor degree at William Paterson University. Heena has been an AARC member since 2011.
Juan Rivera RRT, AAS, BSAST - Director at Large
Juan has worked at St. Joseph’s Regional Medical Center for 24 years and is currently the Clinical Coordinator, overseeing 85 therapists to ensure their knowledge and safety is up to date. He has been a practicing Respiratory Therapist for all those years and has mentored countless employees throughout his career. He has worked in home care, critical care and corporate, further expanding his reach. He earned his bachelor’s degree with Thomas Edison State University. Juan has made significant contributions to the NJSRC and is an active member of the Public Relations and Communications Committee.
Lori Tucci-Barone CRT - Director at Large
Lori Tucci-Barone is an RT that graduated from Bergen Community College in 2007 with an A.A.S. She has worked at Hackensack University Medical Center (2007-2019) and specialized in pediatric and neonatal care. She currently is employed with Atlantic Health Systems working at At Home Medical. Lori enjoys teaching her patients how to improve their quality of life and manage their disease. She has chosen to volunteer for the NJSRC because she wants to be a part of a group of people whom are giving back to the profession that has given them so much. She has been an AARC member since 2005.

- If elected my goals would be to align the mission of the AARC promote the value of Respiratory Therapists and advance professional excellence, with the needs of the members of NJSRC.
- To act as the voice of the NJSRC membership to address their concerns to the House of Delegates and the AARC Board of Directors.
