The New Jersey Society for Respiratory Care is pleased to recognize outstanding leadership within the respiratory care profession through the Respiratory Therapist Leadership Award.

This award honors a Respiratory Therapist who has demonstrated exceptional leadership within their department or across their hospital system while helping strengthen the profession, develop colleagues, and support the next generation of respiratory care professionals.

Nominee Qualifications

Nominees should demonstrate evidence of leadership through one or more of the following:

• Championing and promoting the respiratory therapy profession
• Meaningful involvement in departmental process improvements or quality initiatives
• Active participation in or promotion of professional development activities
• Mentorship that supports staff growth and retention
• Mentorship that supports students entering the profession
• Development of others into future leaders or clinical experts

Who Is Eligible?

Eligible candidates include:

• Supervisors
• Coordinators
• Staff educators
• Shift leaders
• Managers
• Directors

Please note: NJSRC Board members are not eligible candidates for this award.
