Each year, Respiratory Care Week provides an opportunity to recognize the respiratory therapists whose expertise, compassion, and dedication make a difference for patients and families every day.

The New Jersey Society for Respiratory Care is proud to join the American Association for Respiratory Care (AARC) and respiratory care professionals across the country in celebrating Respiratory Care Week, October 25–31, 2026.

Celebrating Respiratory Therapists

Respiratory therapists are essential members of the healthcare team, providing specialized care to patients across a wide range of clinical environments and at every stage of life.

From helping patients breathe during critical illness to supporting those living with chronic pulmonary conditions, respiratory therapists bring specialized knowledge, clinical skill, and compassionate care to the bedside every day.

The 2026 theme, “Every Breath, Every Moment,” recognizes the important role respiratory therapists play throughout the patient care journey.
